Uncanny Correlation of Written Works Earth Sink and The Cleansing of America

Here is an interesting, perhaps uncanny correlation of seemingly unrelated events. After my mother finished reading my book, Earth Sink, she asked me if I had ever heard of an author named W. Cleon Skousen or one of his books titled The Cleansing of America. As far as I can recall, I had never heard of this author or any of his books until my mother mentioned them to me in February of 2011.

Unbeknown to me, there was an author named Dr. W. Cleon Skousen who, in 1994, had compiled a non-fiction book titled The Cleansing of America. Dr. Skousen died 9 January 2006. He had left instructions with his family not to release his book, The Cleansing of America, until they felt the time was right. When asked how they would know the time was right, he simply told them they would know. They felt the time was right in 2010. I can remember feeling a distinct sense of urgency to publish my own book, Earth Sink, that same year.

I began writing Earth Sink in 2007. I started slowly, but as time went on, I felt increasingly impressed to complete the story and publish it. I could have easily devoted another entire year developing and refining the story to make it more marketable and entertaining, but I reached a point where I felt I must publish what I had written so far, and that what I had written so far was sufficient to stand as an intelligible story that would communicate a dire warning to readers.

Although my book, Earth Sink, is a fictional dramatization of latter day events, there are astonishing similarities among several of the conditions described in both Earth Sink and The Cleansing of America. Had I known of Dr. Skousen’s work, I would have surely read his books and drawn inspiration from them for my own work. But, I had already written and published Earth Sink before ever learning of Dr. Skousen or his writings.

To put it more concisely, Dr. Skousen’s book, The Cleansing of America, is the non-fiction version of Earth Sink. If you read Earth Sink, you should follow it up by reading Dr. Skousen’s book, The Cleansing of America. Likewise, if you read The Cleansing of America, you should also read Earth Sink.

The Preface of Dr. Skousen’s book, The Cleansing of America, reads as follows:

“The Cleansing of America is the culmination of several years of research, writing, and speaking on the subject of prophecy and the latter days relative to the United States, by W. Cleon Skousen. In 1994, he compiled his research as a book that he published privately for his family. He told them he didn’t feel comfortable going public with it until the time was right.

When the family asked when that right time would be, he said, You will know. It will be a dark time when the Constitution is being abandoned, when economic turmoil boils on every level of society and government. It will be a time when people give up hope. The nation will be in the grip of a dark collapse. The people will begin to panic and wonder and start making foolish mistakes. They will abandon correct principles for patchwork solutions that only make things worse. You’ll know it when you see it. That’s the time that this book should be published.

With those predicted events now beginning to unfold in the United States and elsewhere around the world, Dr. Skousen’s family members believe the time is right to publish this book. It is offered with the hope that it might edify, give encouragement, and provide direction to those wondering about prophecies of the latter days and the cleansing of America.

As with all of Dr. Skousen’s previous books, this volume would have undergone his final refining touches had he lived to make them. However, editing changes were implemented after his passing, and every effort was made to preserve the author’s voice and intent. As such, it is presented as he left it on January 9, 2006, the day of his passing, and just eleven days shy of his 93rd birthday.”

Years of Interest

Certain years of interest have been mentioned in science and news articles from time to time, but do not seem to get much attention. Several of these years involve significant risks of space object collisions with Earth. Some involve other significant events in space that are predicted to become visible from Earth or cause unusual effects upon the earth. Most articles you find on these matters will downplay the likelihood of an impact. They will instead describe close approaches or near misses. A few of these years of interest are 2011, 2012, 2022, 2029, 2033, and 2036.

Then, there is one specific date in which I have a personal interest, but I have not yet discovered the significance of the date. In fact, it could be two dates or even three, depending on whether or not you reset the conventional calendar at the meridian of time. If you do reset the calendar, the date would depend on whether or not you count from year zero or from the year AD 1. That date is 30 August 6045, or perhaps it is 30 August 2045 or 2044. I believe there will be at least one day or one event in the near future from which we will again reset the calendar, but I do not think that event will occur on this date. That event will likely come a bit later, but perhaps sooner.

However, observe this. For decades, and for centuries, prophets have raised a warning voice regarding calamities to befall the world as a direct consequence of iniquitous practices among Earth's inhabitants. We, as a global society, have largely ignored such warnings. What does it take to get our attention?

The next level is the voice of terrestrial forces of nature becoming increasingly destabilized. We are witnessing that at present. But we, as a global society, are not heeding the warning signs. Mankind insists on ignoring the messages delivered by the unsettled geological and meteorological conditions. If we have refused to heed the warnings of prophetic voices, and now we refuse to heed the warning signs foretold by those prophetic voices, then it stands to reason that things will step up to a whole new level.

Again, what will it take to get our attention? When things escalate to a whole new level, we will be dealing with more than terrestrial events. There are plenty of things beyond the thin blanket of our atmosphere that go bump in the night, or in broad daylight. Yet we are the children pulling the thin blanket over our heads, as if that thin veil between us and what could destroy us will actually protect us from the menacing terrors hurling at us out of our closets and from out of our view as the storms rage upon our blinded minds and our deafened ears and our sightless eyes. We refuse to understand what is right in front of us. We fail to comprehend what is happening all around us.

Cyclone Yasi packs winds near 200 mph in Autralia. May need to redefine the Saffir-Simpson scale.

Once again, like an apocalyptic scene clawing its way out of your least favorite book, Earth Sink, and emerging from an imaginary world of fiction into present day reality, comes a record breaking cyclone in Australia. Cyclone Yasi is an unusually intense category 5 storm. This super cyclone or super typhoon or super hurricane, whatever you care to call it, is immense, spanning some 400 miles (650 km) across. So far, Cyclone Yasi has packed winds of up to 186 mph. That's NASCAR speed! This is arguably the strongest cyclone in the history of Australia. If it can happen there, it can happen here, too. Mark my words, we will soon be reading about proposals to redefine the Saffir-Simpson scale. Get the book! Earth Sink. It's only fiction 'til it's not!

Monster Storms Predicted in a Fiction Book

In a scene not unlike something out of the recently released fiction book, Earth Sink, a monster storm stretching some 2,000 miles across the eastern United States in the dead of winter threatens not only ice and snow, but winter tornados, gale force winds, and whiteouts, and of course all the accompanying collateral damages to roofs, power lines, roadways, and traffic, to name a few.

Ok, such things are not new. But, the unsettling strangeness of it all is manifested in the increasingly widespread effects and the overlapping occurrences of these types of meteorological demonstrations. And we haven't even gotten to the impact events yet. It's only a matter of time. Read Earth Sink. It's only fiction until it's not.
